Isolde

We were lucky to get a few seeds from Margo Reed's excellent EGGPLANT ESCAPADE's pollen on this very dark purple diploid registered by Lambert in 1981.

Isolde is about six inches wide and often exhibits a polytepalous form, blooming above 24-inch dormant foliage.  An added plus is that it starts its show very early in the season, and sometimes reblooms.
