King Crimson

The very first named daylily I bought, this Bill Munson tetraploid has traveled afar with us since 1980.  We moved King Crimson first from Thibodaux, LA, to Ithaca, NY, then to Evansville, IN, and now King Crimson happily resides in our Bluff Park garden.

It blooms crimson red five-inch flowers atop 24-inch tall scapes.
